Mjölnir Hammer

Inspired by the legendary hammer of Thor, this interpretation of Mjölnir combines Norse symbolism with traditional blacksmithing. Rather than creating a movie replica, this piece captures the spirit of the ancient myth—a weapon worthy of the God of Thunder, forged with clean lines, powerful proportions, and timeless Scandinavian ornamentation.

The hammer head is hand forged from 1045 carbon steel and decorated with deeply etched Norse knotwork across both sides and the top face. The intricate patterns are inspired by Viking art, adding subtle detail without distracting from the hammer’s bold, functional form. Every line is carefully prepared before etching, creating a striking contrast between the satin-finished steel and the darkened design.

The head is mounted on a beautifully shaped mountain elm handle, chosen for its strength, character, and warm natural grain. With nearly 1.8 kg (4 lbs) of solid steel, this hammer has an impressive presence in hand, making it an exceptional display piece while remaining fully functional.
