Working Bearded Viking Axe
Forged for work. Built with the spirit of the Viking Age.
This working bearded Viking axe brings together an authentic historical-inspired silhouette with the strength and functionality expected from a modern hand-forged tool.
The head is forged from 1055 carbon steel and finished with a carefully aged vintage finish, giving the axe a rugged, time-worn character while highlighting the hand-forged construction. The pronounced beard creates a distinctive Viking-era profile while also providing excellent control and versatility during practical chopping work.
The axe is fitted with a beautifully figured mountain elm handle, selected for its strength, natural grain, and character. The upper section is wrapped in leather and secured with brass pins, adding both protection and a distinctive handcrafted finish.
This is not a decorative reproduction. It is a fully functional working axe, handmade one piece at a time in the Papstomahawks workshop.
